I went to Ephraim to visit my mission companion and see the Mormon Miracle Pageant and while I was there we decided to go on a hike. We had no idea where to go but saw a whole bunch of people pulled off the side of the road going on a hike so we decided they knew something we didn't so we followed them. As we were following the trail it all of a sudden ended and we had no more trail but we could see all these people gathered around something and taking pics and stuff. so we waited awhile then decided to investigate. When I asked the guy what was over there he acted all offended like I should know. Then he said they were Geocachers. I said "huh!?" apparently you go online and treasure hunt. We had no idea so they explained how you find the coordinates with GPS and then if you take a treasure from the box you leave something in its place. Well who would have thought the Keebler elf house would be in Ephraim UT! HA I was craving cookies so bad after this!

Me and my roommates went to Vegas for Ashley's birthday. she had never been so me and Nicole showed her sin city mormon style!! Anyway we stayed at the South Point hotel which was amazing and it is away from the strip. It had a huge pool and nice view. WE showed her all the traditional free attractions. (the Bellagio water show is my favorite! I think I can stay there all night watching) The Venitian is by far our fav hotel to visit and we got yummy gellato ice cream while watching the gondola rides. We visited Madam Tuessad's wax museum and I always have a blast in there. I think the highlight of the trip was getting Lion King tickets for 25 bucks!! Woot! And it was an amazing performance. I loved the voices, costumes, and traditional african music. We went to serendipity and ordered frozen hot chocolates. oh man those are soooo good. I first had one when I was in NY so the girls wanted to try them here in Vegas. One of the best desserts ever! We had a blast and felt really funny at night when we were the only ones walking around fully clothed. We went to Freemont street which is one of my fav Vegas sights. They have live bands and fun activities and lots of funny dancing drunk people. I was dancing during the overhead show they do on a huge screen that is as long as the street and this guys said "oh yeah shake it baby" and I thought why is he whistling at me when I'm wearing long pants and a modest shirt HA oh well. we had a blast and reluctantly came home. Now I need to get mom to take me back to see the Blue Man Group!

New Zealand 2

Ok here are some more of my photos I couldn't post all of them but I have a lot more on facebook. I couldn't post some of the pics because they confidential and I had to sign an agreement! funny, but anyway I had a blast and miss it there already! We got to see the Hamilton Temple and attend Church in Auckland which was absolutely amazing. The members were so nice and invited us for lunch and gave us a tour of the city. I love this church! We got to go on two more Lord of the Rings tours which were so funny and I definitely felt like a geek but I was surrounded by them so who cares. We stayed in thew Hobbit hotel and It was so fun. You can stay in a train, the titanic, or an airplane! Crazy hotel rooms. We also went Zorbing where I laughed so hard I couldn't breath. You roll down a hill in a huge ball with water in it. It's basically going through a washing machine. Me and Rosie did it twice because we had so much fun! Visiting Fox Glacier was also a big highlight to the trip. Hiking to the glacier you are surrounded by tons of trees and waterfalls everywhere. So beautiful

New Zealand

this is just a few pics of my New Zealand adventure. It wouldn't let me add any more pics so I will try later. But in our first areas we drove around lots of scenic areas and me and Rosie both love Waterfalls. It was so beautiful. Then I braved my fear and we rode horses on a Lord of the Rings tour through a place call Paradise!! It was stunning. There they filmed Isengard and where the Orcs kills Boromir, also Wolverine, Lovely Bones, and Prince Caspian. SOOO pretty. my horse was named Beckham and her was very patient and Rosie's was named Pipsqueak!! so funny speaking of weird names...our drivers name was Soap. funny nickname. We went on a huge Canyon Swing (my video is on facebook) and paragliding. Those were both amazing!! I tried to take cool pics paragliding but it was so crazy I snapped lots of pics of my feet!! Color Fest

There is a huge Hindi temple in Spanish Fork and each year they have a fun celebration where they throw colored chalk on everything and everyone. We had so much fun. We ended up being unrecognizable!

Vegas Vacation

I had a little mental meltdown so I went to Vegas with some friends for a weekend trip. we had lots of fun and the bright sunshine did me good. I love Vegas!

Me and Kelsey got to try snowboarding again this year and for only her second time ever going...she kicked my butt!!!!! She will be a great snowboarder someday. We just need to practice more next year.

Random things about myself

Random things about Myself:

Favorite TV show: Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman. I vowed never to watch this show because it looked stupid but after "accidentally" watching one episode I was hooked and obsessed for many years to come.

Star Trek Character: Spock. I also vowed never to be a "Trekie" but after the new movie I was in love and borrowed all the original episodes from mom and now I love it.

Movie: The Great Race and Lord of the Rings. I couldn't decided between these two because the Great Race is just a classic fun show that reminds me of watching it with my family. Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring is my fav and transports me into a whole other world when I watch it.

Book: The Secret Garden. We had to read this book in 5th grade and its been my fav ever since. I try to re-read it at least every other year

Smell: Fresh Laundry (YUM)

Band: The Beatles (Ringo is the Fav) Dad introduced me to the world of the Beatles and I will forever cherish the memories I have with him and jamming out the the music

Holiday: Halloween, I loved going up to Grandpa Hauser's and gettting lots of candy that later my brother would swindle me out of all the good stuff!

Activity: Traveling and submerging myself in other cultures. The feel of new countries and areas around the world make me realize how beautiful God made this world for us and I feel the need to see the things he has created and the people and beliefs of others.

Lord of the Rings Character: Merry the hobbit. I can relate to this character and I relate his best friend Pippin to my best friend Rosie. Together = trouble! Ha

Mythical Character: Unicorns. As a little girl I loved unicorns and was so excited when the circus had a unicorn. My parents took me, but sadly it was a goat with one big horn. I was so sad but dad bought me a stuffed animal that I still have and was my favorite for many years

Thanksgiving Activity: Learning about my family history

Natural Monuments : Waterfalls. They intrigue me and I always wonder if there is a secret passage behind them.

I always crave bacon and have the song jingle bells always stuck in my head.
I love the ocean but I'm terrified I'll get eaten by a shark
I Cherish my friends but I'm awful about calling people back
I love cuddling in my electric blanket and watching movies while drinking hot apple cider on cold days.
I hope someday I can be as good of a mom as mine is for me.

This is my 7th time being a bridesmaid, but I had so much fun. My mission companion Stacy got married in Sacramento Ca so I flew out there to join the party! We danced, laughed, and had a blast. Congrats Stacy! The best man was slacking so we decorated the car ourselves. muh ha ha ha!

Mission Memories

Well I've officially been home 3 years!!! WOW time goes so fast. I got a call the other day from my MTC companion and we laughed and cried and really want to go back and go on another mission!! But our Bishops say we are to old! What! We are having out mission reunion and my 2nd mission president and his wife are home already also!! These pics are of our farewell fireside and the long long plane ride home!! That year and a half was the best time I ever had and it let me know that God truly loves me. I love the church and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to serve in the China Hong Kong mission.

Me and Mom went for a Vacation to Medford OR where I used to live and around the Oregon Coast. We had a great time!

We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and saw the cute otters and all the weird creatures like this weird yellow cowfish.

We also went to the sea lion caves which was very cool, but very smelly! It looked like a Pirate cave.

We got to go on a Jet Boat ride up the Rogue river and I laughed so hard!! We had a blast they do all these fun turns and get you wet, and the served an amazing lunch.

Crater Lake is always beautiful. The water is so many shades of blue. We took a couple of hikes around the rim. and saw the Spires created by all the hot gases when the Volcano erupted. I think mom really liked Crater Lake

Best Ice Cream EVER!!!!!!!!

These are my two favorite water falls in Prospect Oregon. Mill Creek falls. They are off the beaten path and are just beautiful

Seattle

I got to go to Seattle with my friends Rosie, Lanie, and Stephanie. It was a blast. We went to Canada on "Canada Day" and it took us forever to figure out why they were so patriotic! We got cool Canada stickers and drilled about our purpose for visiting the country for only one day! Oh well. Then we went on a 3 day Kayaking trip and camp along the little islands. Man it sure worked all my muscles! I thought I would have a big thick neck and huge football player shoulders by the end of the trip. We all got very tan and freckled! I also got to see the HUGE fireworks show in Seattle. There were about 60,000 people crammed onto this hill to watch and it was amazing. It felt like the fireworks were surrounding us. Then we shopped around Pikes place and ate lots of good food. After 8 years of waiting I finally got to eat my Umpqua brand Peanut butter chocolate ice cream at Friday Harbor. I got 3 scoops and enjoyed every blistful bite!!!

Rock Climbing

A bunch of friends decided to invite me rock climbing so I could cross it off my "Do before I die list" We went up Logan Canyon to a nice easier climbing area. They gave me the special climbing shoes that bend your feet in half and hurt way bad, but I was grateful to have them because they where the key factor in helping me scale the mountain. I was a little nervous but when I got near the top I got stuck on this part where there just weren't any holds to put you feet or hands. My one leg was shaking so bad they kept yelling "are you ok?" I was like ummm no! so now what???!!! I finally just leaped into the rock above as I made a most powerful slow motion yell of strength and determination (because the yelling always helps) and... I made it to the top and basked in my triumph!!

Attacked at a garage sale

So I went on my morning Garage Sailing event, and this morning was quite interesting. At one of the garage sales they had beads for sale and so I stepped over there to start my shopping process, but to my dismay this lady and her daughter were hogging everything! I sat there looking for an opening and another lady standing by me said "I'm going in" so I followed her as she shoved her way into the bead frenzy. I grabbed a tote and was trying to open the lid when the evil lady with her daughter looked at me and said "Are you done with that!" And I laughed and said I'm just trying to open it. She looked at me in disgust then grabbed at the tote and said "I want to look at those!" So I held on and she jerked at it and in the process she grabbed my hangs and dug a nice chunk of skin out of my finger. Blood was shed over stupid beads. Holy cow woman calm down!

Garage Sailing and Big Guns

I drug my roommate to the joys of garage sailing. I trained her in the art of shoving and grabbing and also holding my pile of stuff that is so cheap I just can't pass it by. I have become addicted and actually get out of bed at 7 AM on a Saturday to go to these things. WOW that is dedication. I just love the feeling that I only spent 5 dollars for 5 new treasures!!! HA! Speaking of dedication I am proud of myself for regularly attending the gym! I go pretty much everyday except wed and sundays. I want to gain muscle weight and have already put on 6 pounds!!! wahoo!! I want to get those nice defined muscles and big biceps!!! I want my gun show to be impressive!
I'm not sure if I'm working out the best but at least it feels like I've accomplished something at the end of the day!

THE RAVA!!

So I Finally broke down and bought a new car. It is my first non red car!! Sad day. The Meely2 was just getting to the point I couldn't rely on it anymore. So I bought the RAVA. Me and my best friend always liked the Rav4's but we thought the 4 was an A so we always talked about how we wanted a Rava until her sister said "you mean Rav4?!!!" oops so hence the name. I really like it but was so sad today when my neighbor took off in the meely and parked it in their driveway. I sat in it for a minute to say goodbye! It was a way good car and we went through a lot together so Goodbye Meely2 I will miss you.

Cardio Dance Collision

So me and my roommate have been getting up at 6am to work out in the mornings. Ok so she gets up then she blasts me out of bed. We usually go for a walk in the mornings but since its been snowing we decided to use the only work out video in the house which is Dancing with the Stars cardio dance. We were making fun of the instructors and laughing as we collided into each other (we are not to coordinated). Then the next day we couldn't move and I thought "oh man I made fun of the movie and it actually works!" My roommate was surprised and sore also. So by the end of this video I'll be in shape and I'll be able to dance hot and sexy. Look out here comes clubbing Brittany aka Buffy (that's my clubbing name)

Birthday

Las Vegas

We had a fun girls weekend away a couple of weeks ago and decided to go to Vegas. I love Vegas! The whole atmosphere and hustle and bustle energizes me. We stayed in a wonderful resort and the pool was awesome but we ran out of time to go swimming. I gambled a little and totally lost! Not so lucky. We went to Fremont street and got invited up to a VIP balcony where we got to throw Marti gra beads down to the crowd. There was a old man dressed in kind of a old gangsta outfit and he was so drunk. He would dance around and gave quite a good show. Don't you just love Vegas!

Arizona Road Trip 2009

Me Lanie, Rosie and Stephanie all took a wonderful road trip to Arizona. Our plan was to see the singer Joshua Radin in Tuscon. So along the way we stopped in St George and I got to sleep in a California King bed. I'm so getting one of those!! Then we took off to Zions National park. It was so pretty with the snow cover. We also got to go to the Grand Canyon which I had never been to. That was way fun and now I can cross it off my "do before I die" list! We also explore a slot canyon which is where we took most of the pics because it was so fun and pretty when the light shown through the gaps. In Tuscon we stayed at a great old hotel that had lots of attitude but as for downtown Tuscon there was NOTHING there! It sucked. Rosie used to live in Tuscon and she said the newer part is where all the fun is. Oh well. All in all it was way fun and I'm really glad I could go

Is Bad Luck a Disease??

So I HATE the month of January. Nothing ever good happens in January!!!! Oh well my apartment flooded the other day. Yup but just my room. I don't understand that since I share a room! Only my half was flooded. sooooo funny. My roommates have been helping with flood recovery. No big deal but I might later die of black mold poisoning, go figure.
Today is the 11 year anniversary of my Dad's death. I miss him so much and think about him pretty much everyday. He made my childhood amazing and full of love. Thanks Dad I love you!!

The Cove at Sundance Film Festival

My best friend Rosie works at the Sundance Film Festival and was able to get us tickets to see the documentary The Cove. It is the most moving documentary I have ever seen and I bawled my head off. It is about the founder of the show Flipper, ric obarry, and how he was the flipper trainer and creator. Then he realized these highly intelligent creatures should not be in captivity and has now become an activist to set them free. We now go to Taji Japan where they are brutally killing dolphins for sale and meat. It follows this crew ranging from scientists to photographers, event organizers, former military personnel, and world record free divers to join in the cause to stop the killing in this tiny fishing community. They have to be very creative to get the footage they need and I promise you when you see this film you will want to scream. I always wanted to be a trainer at Sea World and now that dream has become a nightmare. We as the consumer are supporting this horrible mass capturing method by attending these shows. The thing thats bad is they sell the meat but only 1% of Japanese people actually eat Dolphin meat so what is the point of the brutal way they kill these animals!!?? Plus Dolphin meat has very high amounts of Mercury which is very dangerous to people especially children. YIKES. The film talks about the way the oceans are being eroded and destroyed by man. Ignorance is so scary when it comes to the ocean and the way mankind is destroying our main source of food. The films purpose was to focus on this one cause and event to help us be more aware of the fishing methods and that Dolphins are not protected under the IWC that monitors the killing of whales. I am very passionate about this cause so please take a look at the websites.

Jeff Dunham

Me and Mom got to go to the Jeff Dunham show on Thursday during the lovely ice storm. We made it there and back just fine thank goodness. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is a ventriloquist and has many famous puppets such as Akhmed the dead terrorist "I kill you", Wlater, or Peanut (he is my favorite). I suggest "you tube" if you have never seen the skits. He is amazing and I laughed so hard. The audience was able to quote some of the skit from Bubba who is a beer drinking trailer park redneck. That says how sophisticated we Utahns are! So get on "You tube" and start laughing!!

Wow so I had a surprise today finding out that my amazing mission companion is now engaged to an elder that was also in my mission. I never saw it coming because he was married just last year. I even met his wife. AHHHH I knew they were good friends and she even asked me if I would date a divorced guy. Oh I told her yes, (not knowing he was still married) dang!!! Wait till the divorce is final!! well this is better because I love both of them but why didn't she tell me?? I had to find out through facebook. I was really hurt she didn't tell me what was going on so I freaked out when I didn't have all the details. Is it selfish of me to wonder why the bleep she didn't fill me in??? Ok I'm just venting out some thoughts.. so here is the disclaimer. Its weird how some of my closest companions on my mission now seem so distant. Sister Lee from Malaysia was the best and we were so close on the mission and I haven't been able to talk to her since I've been home! How does that happen. How do I let close friends slip away? Life gets busy, but honestly my busy stuff just consumes my time and takes away from friends and family.

Stolen Stuff Recovered!

So I have an update on my stolen bag and scriptures. I got a call last week at 4 am and a SLC police officer informed me he had done a routine traffic stop and found my scriptures. WHAT!! (do a little dance yeah) they found my bag with some of my stuff such as my clothes. I still can't believe it!! The chances of them finding my stuff is so slim. They weren't even originally sending an officer when I called 911, but only because the car next to me got broken into also they decided to send an officer. He took the report of my items and basically said good luck you'll never see the stuff. Then the officer that made the traffic stop was on the ball and recognized my scriptures. The guy driving the car was not to owner of the car so they were unable to make an arrest but who knows in the future. Today we drove to SLC evidence and I picked up my stuff. They took my GPS, Camera, purse, wallet, makeup (which I find weird and annoying because its expensive and used!), my perfume, my curling iron, and ONE shoe. Yep I have one of my shoes! There were other things in my bag that weren't mine so I gave them back to evidence. Hopefully they will contact the other car. I just have to say I am truly humbled and grateful to get my scriptures back. The rest of the things can be bought, but those were full of personal memories. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for providing this blessing and letting me know he loves me. Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Car Broken Into

Christmas Fun

Me and Mom were able to go up and visit Kale, Steph, and the boys for Christmas. We had a blast opening all the gifts (Brenton and Alex got cool Batman and Superman race cars that I really wanted!) I got cook books (note the title) yes I am quite inept in the kitchen. Mom got Alex a bird feeder and I think that it was really a gift for Bunson because he kept liking his chops and starring out the window. A couple of times a bird would hit the window and Bunson would jump, it was great. We went sledding and Brenton had a great time. Alex however got snow in his face and that was it for him he was done. We waxed the sleds to help them go faster but we didn't realize it would speed us down the hill at Mach 5! Yikes! The snow was so deep and fun we had a big snow fight and I lost pathetically. We played the Wii a lot and Mom kicked our butts at all the sports games. Stephanie is the undefeated champ at the boxing, none of us even stood a chance, and Kale is the Mario Kart champ. I just play the game and get excited when I'm not last!! It was a great trip and we had lots of fun

Batman Brenton

Last year on Christmas I laughed so hard when Brenton opened his massive amounts of presents then played in the box. This year I am excited to see what he chooses as the fav gift. I personally wanted the Batman/Superman cape he got for Thanksgiving!

Christmas at Aunt Virginia's

We had our annual family gathering at Aunt Virginia's this year. It was great to see the family. I can't believe how tall my cousin Douglas is! They grow up so fast. This year was quite different with my Uncle Bruce missing. I miss his hugs and when he called me by my nic name, Bruticus. I miss his laugh most of all. He loved his family sooo much and he is missed daily. I hope that peace and joy will be able to fill the hearts of Uncle Bruce's family and friends. I believe in the power of Christmas!

Living in Fear

Today at church the spirit touched me very strongly and I felt the need to write down some thoughts I have been having. I had lunch with a great friend yesterday and we talked for about 3 hours. She told me something about myself that I didn't want to hear, but needed to. She told me I was living in fear everyday and that fear was affecting my personality. She said I am afraid to get close to people because I am afraid they will suddenly leave me. I have built a wall to try and protect myself from the pain that seems to revisit my life often. This comment suprised me because I thought I was doing better. She noticed how afraid I am to get in a car and drive anywhere because I think me or the ones I care about will suddenly be wiped out in a car wreck. She told me I need to let it go and focus on enjoying each moment I have with the people I love and the things I enjoy in life. It's so much easier said than done however!! Today in church a guy bore his testimony about his little sister (the only girl in a family of 7 siblings) they were in a car wreck and she was paralyzed. I started to cry, not in sadness but gratefulness that even though our car wreck messed us all up mentally and physically I am truly grateful to Heavenly Father for all of our survival. The memories that have been created since then are so cherished and special in my heart. Not a day goes by I wish I could talk to my dad and tell him how much I love him again, but through this gospel I know that Heavenly Father will give me that opportunity. I realize I prevent myself from being completely happy because the fear I have prevents me from enjoying the moments I have. I know it will take time but I pray that I can have the strength to let go of those things that scare me and let myself feel happy and know that things happen in life that we can't prevent and don't understand. I have faith that the things I have lost will be compensated in the end. I feel very grateful to be a member of the church and I am so grateful for my amazing family and friends who never cease to be there for me whenever I need them. Thank you so much!

Black Friday

Well I have never been a Black Friday shopper but this year I figured ehh what the hey how bad could it be... So I was just going to get up at 5am and fight my way through the crowd at Al's sporting goods because I wanted a sleeping bag and it was a great deal. Then I found out my roomate, who works at Walmart, had to wake up at 330 am to be at Walmart by 430 so I figured hey I'll just get up with her and head over to Khols to get an electric blanket. So at 330 I woke up put on my hat and went out the door. I was thinking oh the line won't be that bad.. then I pulled into the Khols parking lot and saw the line (see pics) HOLY CRAP. the line went from the front entrance to Khols to the front entrance of Kmart! What the Bleep was I thinking. Oh well I was here and had a whole hour before AL's opened so like an idiot I waited. When the doors opened there was a big surge as people dove in the doors. I wonder what the fire code is for that oh well. I got to the door and slipped in between some people and off i went to the bedding. I wanted some other blankets also and surprisingly got them pretty easy until...One of the soft blankets I wanted was in front of me and only one left. I started to walk forward and noticed in my peripheral vision another person was headed for it. I picked up pace and so did she but I have cat like reflexes (not really I just got lucky) and snatched it up. She gave me a glare and I wanted to say "heh heh" in a Bart Simpson voice but I refrained. Thinking I was cool I headed for the checkout and to my dismay the line to check out was all the way to the back of the store. AHHH. But like an idiot I got in line "stupid electric blanket on sale!" The line went pretty quick and I noticed the trick to Black Friday shopping is tag team. One person wait in line and one to go get all the stuff. The cute married couple in front of me had it down! When we just about got to the checkout I all of a sudden saw the guy in front of me lunge forward toward the floor. I turned and saw that his wife fainted! Luckily the two girls in front caught her in time. We let her lay there and we called over the employees for help. They were really quick and one got her a wheelchair and one got her juice. Yeah for Khols staff! WOW what a crazy morning already. I checked out just in time to head to Al's. Same big line and shoving but this time I got in and out pretty quick. The lady in front of me did buy 120 camping bottles and about took this other lady's head off when she asked if she could have just 5 of them. WOW get me out of here!! Next year I am sleeping in!!!

Blood and Chocolate

So me and my friend Brady watched the movie Blood and Chocolate the other night. It was quite interesting...in the words of Brady he said "it's like when you see a horrific accident and you know you shouldn't look but you keep staring at it anyway" It was very unpredictable and full of leaping werewolfs.
Today was a crappy day at work but at least it was Wednesday and you know what happens on Wednesday....... "It's business time..ahhh yeah!" - flight of the conchords.

Twilight

Finally the day had arrived to go see Twilight the movie. I got off work and drove down To SLC where I met up with Rosie and her family. They were originally going to the Celine Dion concert, but it got canceled so we had these pre-purchased tickets for Twilight the 11:15 showing. Yikes! I seriously can't stay awake to well after 10 anymore so we were all struggling to keep up the energy. But as soon as I walked into the theater I made a little squeal of delight in anticipation for the movie. There were tons of people everywhere wearing the "Bite me" shirts and "Team Edward" and Team Jacob shirts. (I am Team Jacob!!) anyway you could get your picture taken by the motorcycle that is probably in the second film. I had my lovely nectar of the Gods Doctor Pepper in my hand and I was good to go. The film was good. Not up to my expectations but Jacob and the Bad guy James were quite HOT! I will go again and re-analyze the movie and the hot actors...I mean acting skills.

The next dayI drove all the way to Ephraim to visit a mission companion. Why anyone would live in Ephraim is beyond me. There is NOTHING there and it was so depressing. I was there 5 hours and wanted to leave quickly. I was able to help my old mission companion Zenobia fellowship a missionary discussion. There was a girl from Macau there interested in the Church. It was great because she didn't speak very much English so Zenobia would translate for the Elders. I got to chime in and share some stuff and talk to her. It was great and it reminded me of the joys of my mission. My Cantonese is quite lacking now because there is no one to speak it with. She didn't seem to mind that I tripped over my words a little. Zenobia will be in Ogden for turkey day so I might bring her by to meet the fam!

Saturday night by the time I drove back to Bountiful I was starved so me Rosie and Lanie went to this place called Zupas that serves giant salads (but I don't eat healthy green stuff) and amazing soup. They also give you chocolate dipped strawberries. I love that place!! After eating we went to the cheap theater and watched The Dark Knight. It was actually better for me this time. Lanie and Rosie had never seen it and they really liked it. Heath Ledger does such an amazing job with the Joker. By the time we got back home I was dead and slept so good. This morning I drove back to Logan and even made it on time for church.

Sick

So I have been sick for about 2 weeks now and my symptoms keep morphing into different bothersome ailments. I started with the lovely scratchy throat that morphed into the soar throat that is so painful that you would rather drool on yourself than try to swallow. Now I have the cough that doesn't stop! At work yesterday I had a coughing attack so bad my face turned purple and tears were streaming down my face. I looked up to see all my co workers starring at me in horror. I have the "sexy" deep frog voice and I can't breathe through my nose without making an annoying whistle sound or the snort and gag sound. Where does all that gross mucus come from? Sheesh I have put my stock in tissue with lotion since I go through a box a day now. Everyone is careful to stay away and tilt their head to the side and say "i hope you feel better." Rawr!!! I need a magic drug that cures all. Any suggestions??

Joshua Radin concert: Wow what a fun concert!! I met up with my best friend Rosie and her sister Cookie and Lanie and we all went to the Joushua Radin concert in SLC. It was just him and his guitar last night which I totally loved because he talked more one on one with the audience. He told us about some history to his songs and now I love them more. Then about half way through he was just strummin his guitar and he got a cute smirk on his face and said "this next song is for my friend Rosie, Rosie where are you?" I started screaming "over here" and pointing to her because she didn't say anything (I think she was in shock). We all waved and he proceeded to explain how he knew her and became friends. It was awesome. The one girl standing in front of me stomped her foot and said "that's not fair." Another girl screamed out "no way, Cool!!" Yeah the jealousy claws were flying toward Rosie. Previously he was explaining how each album was about girlfriends in his life and how he has 2 albums, one person in the audience asked if Rosie was the next and he said "I don't know, Rosie are you my third album?" It was so dang fun! Joshua is Awesome I recommend seeing him in concert.

"very very good" trip to Sacramento

This is me and my mission companion Stacy Goddard. We had a great weekend and went exploring around Sacramento. We ended up in this cool Hippie town where we ate organic foods and sipped herbal tea. We got lost and ended up at an Asian Market where I stocked up on Mi Goreng noodles and spoke Chinese to the cute old lady. (About gave her a heart attack!) We went to the beach and I loved all her friends including her way nice boyfriend Paul. He took us clubbing and this time we didn't end up at a club on lesbian night (that was our Portland trip oops). She really wants me to move out there and I am deeply considering it. I love Cali!

The one spook house was the "fun house" I about had a heart attack in there. They made you wear 3D glasses and it was very freaky. I got so turned around and the chainsaw dude came after me. I think I leap frogged over Rosie's head to get out the door. At one point in time we were in a pitch black room and I saw something move behind Rosie and I said "what is that!" She freaked and waved her hands up behind her and smacked a guy in the face which made me freak and I turned to run away and ran right into another guy dressed in black. We screamed bloody murder and about tore down the wall to get away!

Bad weekend

so last weekend was so bizarre for everyone I know. My roomates had to fly to Virginia for a funeral, relatives ended up in the hospital, my friend broke her glasses, hit a deer then 2 days later her husband was in a rollover....and I'm missing a chunk of eyelashes on my right eye. How does that happen? seriously my eyelashes are gone! just in the middle. I look like Medussa from the Rescuers when she peels off her eyelashes. Mom was like "you look weird what happened" thanks mom! I just wanted to curl up in my fuzzy blanket and watch my favorite show Bones.

So I attended my first Bachelorette Party on sat and man what a hoot! Me and my friend Laura where the only ones without alcohol in our hands. I had a blast watching my friends slowly start to slur their words and hug each other a lot. we played some very interesting games and I was quite disappointed their wasn't a stripper. Oh well, I also bumped into an ex boyfriend that I didn't recognize at first. Does that make me really shallow? Crap. In my defence he had a full beard. anyway a weird Thai guy hit on my friend Laura and she's married and it was awkward with my ex around so we left. We bought Oreos and milk and pigged out till 2 am. When I dropped her off I noticed that the cops were our in mass along 4th north. I swear we picked the trouble making part of town to live in. And yes I still want to kill the neighbors upstairs and have dreamt about many possibilities on how I could do it and not get caught. Any ideas???? We now have Internet at the apt and after 4 hours of calling tech support we finally got it working. Yeah I thought my roomate was going to fling the computer and all the accessories thru the window. Next time I will pay the extra 40 bucks and have the hot installation guy do it for us!!

This is just one of the many times we got lost in Ireland and got trapped on tiny little streets. I was watching the movie Made of Honor and it takes place in Scotland which looks just like Ireland. In the show they are driving huge SUV's around Yeah right!!! What they don't show is the car in the opposite lane, because it could never fit on the same street.

My new apartment

This is my lovely apartment. Sorry it's a little disorganized because we stayed up to late last night entertaining guests. I love the loveseat (thanks Aunt Janet!) and my roomate loves to decorate so its coming together nicely. Me and mom went garage sailing this morning and I had a blast! I bought some great bookcases and dishes for way cheap and we have now decided that by the next time we go we will be pros and have this thing down to an art. The Vipers that live above us have kept the noise down lately so hopefully we won't have to call the cops again for awhile. We did find out that our smoke alarms, and the fan above the oven work well! We had some burnage on a chocolate lava cake. It was pretty funny and no it wasn't me that burned it!!

So I moved out into a lovely basement apartment in Logan. The building was formerly known as Skankie's Market for those of you who are familiar with it. We want to put a sign up that says: Welcome to Skankies! Anyway I love the apartment, but above my head are some very young party girls that are friends with the entire USU football team. Neadless to say I have not gotten any sleep since moving in. So last night was the last straw, the music was blasting at 12 am and we knew it would not stop until 3 am so we did the nice, polite thing of calling the cops. The cops arrived with guns blazing and the action was on!!!! Ok nothing really happened but the music was turned off! Oh quiet relief!!! So lets see how long the peace will last! Mom has got me freaked out that the Big football players might just make my car into a tiny piece of metal. Lets hope that doesn't happen. I am quite attached to my car!

Irish Rubbin

We were able to rent a small car and I mean small, an dcruise the whole island of Ireland. We later demolished our rental car by "rubbing" a rock wall as the natives called it. It was quite the event since the roads are 2 ft across with rock walls lining each side and your drive on the left and shift with your left hand wow. We were able to make friends with the local sheep, slosh our non-alcoholic drinks with locals at the pubs as we sang along (loudly) to the traditional irish pubbing songs, and experience the joy of nothing opening until 10 and closing at 6!!! We couldn't even fill up the wind up car with pay at the pump or anything. What is with this country! We had the freedom to drive around and stop at random castles and hike aroung waterfalls and just enjoy the rolling green hills. My advice if you want to go to Ireland take a rain jacket, not a poncho because they blow away! We ate full Irish breakfast which includes meat, potatoe cakes, bacon, soda bread, cereal, toast, and pretty much everything. Yummo! I think we got fat but just by a little. Over all it was a fabulous trip and I want to go back!!

So this is my New York vacation. We did all the wonderful tourist stuff and had a blast eating all the Yummy New york food and shopping. Notice the sign above our heads on the subway! My favorite thing about New York was walking around Times Square and dancing on the full size piano that was in the movie Big @ the toy store.
